Imagine a place where it’s always rainy, where the sea
is always raging, where the wind is always howling: at Grand Harbour Lighthouse
Fish Fluke Point, Ross Island Canada.
Does it look like anybody lives there? Not at all.
However, fifty five years ago there was just a normal family living in the
charming, wooden lighthouse. Many sailors were guided safely into the Grand
Harbour by its faithful light.
But now after many years of the terrible storms,
the lighthouse is a crumbled old home to nothing but families of grateful sea
birds, and the faithful light shines no more.
I've read all your posts Peter and this is DEFINITELY my favourite. It is very evocative (look it up!) and you have used some powerful and appropriate adjectives. In some ways it made me feel sad, but at the same time glad for the birds and all whose lives had been saved.
