Aliens
Floating across the sky, the cloud slowly made it's way through the many towering skyscrapers. The people down below gazed up in wonder, little did they know that the great ball of candy floss was an elaborate disguise to cloak a spaceship. A family of aliens sat inside peering out of the fluff, amazed by the strange colours of Earth. To their disappointment they had missed their flight on the black hole to the Rolo Universe where they had intended to go on holiday. So instead they stopped off in New York City to collect their favourite goodies.

The Dog Walk!
“Jane! Jane! Jane where are you?” shouted Mum
“I am in my room”. I replied,
“Can you take the dog for a walk?” Mum asked
“Sure” I said grumpily
“But you do know she will always run off?!”
Dizzy is our dog, a big black Labrador with a patch of white at the end of his tale. He is always naughty, especially on dog walks, but you can’t really blame him he’s only a pup.
As I got him on the lead I noticed that they had just put a new building over the top of the big rabbit hole, I was quite relieved because that was the hole that Dizzy always goes down but I was pretty certain that he would not be able to squeeze under. We set off at a brisk pace and Dizzy was being good for a change so I decided to let him of the lead then saw a bird, not even Usain Bolt could catch him he sped past our house and into a bush. I ran after him shouting his name he did not hear me or at least he did not respond. I shouted again this time he heard me but instead of stopping by me he ran past me.
I started chasing him again but when I came to the new building he was gone I searched the bushes but he was still nowhere to be seen. I got down on my hands and knees and looked under and the new house, I could just see the tip of his tale poking out I tried to reach him put he was too far away. I scrambled under and tried to reach him again, I stretched my hand down the rabbit hole but then it slipped and I fell into the earth.
To my surprise I came out in a beautiful wood with wild talking flowers and the leaves on the trees were multi-coloured.
“Dizzy come hear! “I shouted, but instead of hearing a bark I heard someone saying,
“You could at least ask nicely!”
“Dizzy is that you?” I said nervously.
“Well who else would it be?!" Dizzy said questioning me.
”I…I… I’ve just never met a talking dog before” I stumbled.
"Well now you have!" Dizzy said crossly “ I buried my bone here yesterday and now I can't find it! Can you help me?"
"Ok” I said, so we got to work.
We started on a small slope but there was nothing there but then we came to a pile of dirt. I scrabbled with my hands until my fingers touched something wet and hard, the bone! I quickly took it out and gave it to dizzy.
“Thanks!” he said as he started chewing on it.
“We better get back or mum will start wondering where we are!" II told dizzy. We tried to get back up the hole and after but a few attempts we finally made it!

GAME OVER!
Petrified, exhausted, breathless, I ran as fast as humanly possible, for dread this might be the end I cycled over the unstable, crocked, wooden, bridge and came to the river then suddenly my bike was attacked by a stump and I came tumberling off into the treacherous water! GAME OVER! My screen flashed at me, I was so close to breaking my record. I checked in my pocket to see if I had any money left over but there was none I had spent it all on sweets, chocolate, games and loom bands which now looking back I didn’t need!

Sophie's 100 word poem
The long road ahead
The long road ahead
I start, wondering
Where will it take me?
The long road ahead
Unexperienced, dangerous
Who’s hand shall I hold?
The long road ahead
Empty, deserted
Who will share my journey?
The long road ahead
Colossal, nerve-racking
Who will I meet?
The long road ahead
Unknown, untrodden
What should I expect?
The long road ahead
Daunting, exciting
What will it bring?
The long road ahead
Twisting, turning
Will it ever stop?
The long road ahead
Challenges, experiences
Where will it take me?
The long road ahead
Final, complete
Nothing to tread.

100wc from Sophie's Mum
Hovering Hotel
“That looks fancy,” said Mildred to Bertie as they flew up beside the impressive hotel, “What a special treat to spend a night away without the fledglings, I do hope they’ll be ok?”It was unheard of for Mr. and Mrs. Blackbird to get away but they’d read the reviews and were excited to finally be arriving at Hovering Hotel. What they weren’t expecting was the menacing Mr. Crow to be there! How could they spend the night under the same roof as him? After what he’d done. Surely they should let the owners know what he was capable of?

The Robin
Florence was stomping home in the rain avoiding
muddy puddles that hogged the path. She was tired, drenched and exhausted.
Florence gazed up into a nearby tree, as some leaves twirled to the ground, and found on a branch a robin with a clump of berries in it’s mouth. Suddenly a water
droplet tumbled down and landed on the robin's head, Florence imagined the
leaves as spectators to this little comedy, as it shivered they all chuckled.
Then she heard a bark, looked across the road and saw Chocolate her Labrador
puppy at the window begging her to play with him!

You wouldn’t think that phones could come alive, Miss Brown didn’t. She was walking along the high-street when her phone rang,
but is wasn’t the normal ring-tone she was familiar with, it was different! As
she picked up the phone roots started to wrap around her. They weren't tight but as she
struggled with the phone it's strong tentacles gripped her. I approached
her to ask if everything was alright. She replied in a worried, timid voice "Everything’s
fine Jimmy" as she pulled her sleeve over her hand hiding the
tentacles. "Now run along Jimmy,
your grandmother will be worried."

If I did not go to the theme park, if I had
listened to my mum, if the skipping rope did not snap, then I would not be
screaming, “help!” It all started when we went to the theme park gift shop and I
saw the skipping rope. I couldn’t resist it, so I begged mum for it until she gave
in. Once Mum had bought it I couldn’t wait to use it so I run over to a nearby
tree next to the river. I had
swung the rope over the tree and jumped onto it, then it snapped!

The Mad Head teacher
We had a new head teacher which was great news. He had a
brown fluffy go-compare mustache and a few bits of hair under his mortarboard
hat. He carried a thin wooden cane which he thankfully did not know how to use.
He was the laughingstock of the school. It was a Monday and we had all come in
to class and nobody could help but have a little giggle as he introduced himself,
it wasn’t just his go compare mustache and the way he was using the cane, but
it was the lisp.
