I see a man walking on one side of a path
Where it leads him his shadow doesn't know
The man walks alone through this grassy land,
he can feel the grass upon his hand
Nobody knows where he is going to go only he can choose his path in life
He is told not to go there, it will cause him strife.
He feels alone as he wonders on
He needs a friend by his side
He hopes his dreams are following on,
and hopes they will meet him at the end of the path, that he is following.

Emily Morrison - take a bow! What a fine piece of poetry. I am really impressed with your ideas and structure - could you think about different ways of starting each line?
