John's
Poem Challenge
The
road went forever on and on,
By
caves where the sun has never shone,
Beside
water and over sand,
And
where no foot may ever tread.
Under
mountains masked by mist,
Under
sun and shadow.
Through
a forest with a bog.
And
at last leads to the meadows green.
Let
others follow, if they can!
Now
a journey for them will begin.
Let
them turn toward the inn,
Or
follow the path back to home afar.
Where
many paths and choices meet,
The
end will greet eager feet,
But
now I must wait,
Unknown
may the end be.
