Class 4
WW2 Evacuee day
October 22nd 2013
Class 4 had a fantastic day learning from people who lived throughout WW2. Eight 'Friends of Malvern Wells' and local residents were invited to join the class for an enlightening morning of discussion based on experiences as children living through WW2.
The Class were involved in discussions with our visitors to learn about: Life during the war, gas masks, The Blitz and rationing.
We pre-planned questions to further our understanding and gain as much as we could from the experience.
Dennis even, kindly, shared his coin collection with the class!
We learnt about how Madresfield Court was the intended evacuation location for members of the Royal Family.
On behalf of Class 4 I would like to say an enormous Thank you to all our special visitors. What a special morning this was - an incredible learning experience.
