100 (+ 10) word challenge - Darcey

The boomerang seemed to have a mind of it's own. "I'm too old for this nonsense!" grumbled Archie shuffling after it in his carpet slippers. "Not my prize roses!" he wheezed as it beheaded half a dozen white blooms. "You wicked piece of firewood!" he panted chasing after it waving his walking stick in a frenzy, accidentally hitting a passing bumble-bee who buzzed off angrily. Archie let out a gasp of surprise as the boomerang whirled around and headed straight for him! No time to think he dived for the nearest soft spot. Unfortunately that soft spot was the compost heap, oozing with rotten tomatoes, egg shells and potato peelings!
