                                                                     Sparks

For Christmas, Jim got a remote control robot called 'Sparks'. On Christmas day, Jim was too busy to play with Sparks, but on boxing day he decided to open Sparks and put the batteries in him. While Jim screwed the last screws, Sparks grew to the size of a dog!
"Hello!" said Sparks, cheerfully. "Thank you! I'd been in
suspended animation for some time!"
Suddenly Mum opened the door.
"Good robot?" she smiled. 
"W-what? But when I put the batteries in it..." he cried. He looked back behind him. Sparks was back in his box, and looking brand new.
