Takeaway homework

                                                                                               Tuesday 21st August 1883

Dear Mr Warne

After we heard about Martha and how all her fingers were chopped off one hand in the mill, I think we should let children go to school. They need to learn for the future. I am going to tell you about the mill and how it is dangerous.
Factory owners employed children because they were cheap, they did not complain, they had nimble fingers and could crawl about under machines easily. Please let them go to school. They will die in the factories.

I am going to send this letter to lots more Masters and tell them to let the children go to school. They don't deserve to work there too young. I think I'm going qto make a law that you start work when you are 17.

Thank you
Yours sincerly Jadzia Cashmore
