George's opening paragraph - Australian Mythology - The Bunyip

If he wasn't so foolish, if he hadn't taken the creature, if he hadn't found it, then the wave as big as skyscraper wouldn't have formed. He was horrified, startled and troubled about his actions. He stared at the wave that was fast 
approaching - it was the end; or was it?
