100 word challenge - Darcey and Oliver Cr
The people of Malvern awoke with a start as a burst of birdsong bounced off the windows. “Look up, can you see the birds?!” They cried out of their windows to neighbours. The birds were beautiful: exquisitely coloured, their feathers fluttered in the breeze. Everyone stared at the brilliant birds with their fancy feathers as they swooped effortlessly over the rolling hills, singing the enchanting song of their ancestors. They slowly disappeared with elegant wings flapping noiselessly. Where they came from and where they went no-one knew, that was up to the sun and moon, the rain and the wind.
