Nando's Challenge Poem John Davies
FAME
Fame
and fortune,
a
gift all humans dream of tasting.
But the
time of trying for it is most inopportune,
For while many may try many shall fail.
Amazement
at first success,
The
first blossom of their career.
They
need be level-headed nevertheless,
But
at the moment they just cheer.
Middle
and pinnacle of their career,
They
now need to prepare for downfall.
Now
they have to be ready for no more cheer,
Finally
it is now the beginning of their last call.
End
has slowly, finally come,
But as expected no stopping this derailed boxcar.
They
now feel incredibly glum,
Their
name, the crowds once favoured, blinks out like a dying star.

Henry's Nandos Challenge
On this cold winter’s night
There is no one in sight,
I lie here on the floor,
I feel as useful as a door,
But on this cold winters night
I see a light in sight,
I watch the light inside the home
And I think, I wish I could live in that lovely home
On this cold winters night,
When there is no one in sight,
I sit here on the floor,
I cant take the pain anymore,
I sit here on my bag dreaming of being glad,
But I will never be glad,
I will always be sad,
Because on this cold winters night,
I am a street child: useless, voiceless,
I will never be glad.
