A description of Australia seen by Captain Cook.

Suddenly the boat jerked to a halt.I fell off my chair and I thought we has hit a rock until one of men shouted "land-a-hoy" and I knew we had hit land. Relief ran through my body.I didn't believe that after all of these years we would finally discover new land. There was stunned silence amongst the crew followed by a cheer and a mad scramble to get to the rowing boats. In front of me I saw a vast landscape,it was quite an amazing sight.I clambered out of the rowing boat cautiously as my legs were still a bit wobbly from being on the boat for so long. When we got off the rowing boat I saw sand but not the same sand as England's though,it was whiter,as white as the clouds. Then I saw silhouettes in the distance,I stood there for a few moments, and then I realized that they were throwing stoned and rocks at us,I could not think straight, and then I said "men pass me my gun".So then I shot a bullet over their heads,BANG!
