100 word challenge

The supposedly 'sunny day' had drifted off to sleep behind the heavy, grey clouds, leaving only spattered windows, victims of drab, stinging rain. No doubt about it, wrote Kyte, this is a view to behold. This was not a diary, and Kyte was very strict about this, and as he sketched the view he could see through the window of the sodden tent, he wondered if old kings who had lived in castles like these, had kept similar journals. Probably old royal fancy designs like the ones that looked like eyeballs. He liked this castle. That was definite.
