CHARACTER FROM THE PAGE by John Davies

CHARACTER FROM THE PAGE

Unruly orange hair fluffed out like a dandelion, and patches of baldness gleamed like polished bone. Grizzled facial hair sprouted to form unkempt bushy sideburns. His narrow pointed face was deathly pale like a porcelain doll, but marked with freckles on his cheeks and purplish bags under his eyes.Ambiguously impish emerald irises danced with laughter, betraying any notion of age-worn immortality. His small pug nose and satellite dish ears decorated a slim, dainty figure. Lady-like fingers held a green Abraham Lincoln-style hat in his right hand, proffering welcome or wickedness. My heart danced an Irish jig. He was a Leprechaun!

  1. This simply draws the reader in John, excuse the pun! An exciting piece of characterisation which really brings this drawing to life! Keep up the excellent writing as your 100 WC tasks simply get better and better!
