mine craft short stories eleanor

W.A.L.T Write a short, narrative using mine-craft to inspire our writing.
I squinted, my eyes adjusted to the new found land. I saw a sudden flash of white, it was a strange creature that had a bulbous figure. I then new: it was my ticket to a bed for many nights to come.
I was walking it sounds simple but it isn`t when you have no idea where you are. Imagine a place where the animals are free but you have to kill them to survive, were colossal ranges rise up around you, where you see mines but you don`t dare to go in them: this is where I am; and this is my adventure.
“AHH!” “What just happened?” (There was total silence total darkness.) What do I do now? I just fell, it wasn`t far but there was no way I was getting out the way I came in. Thoughts rushed through my mind, should I walk on? Should I wait for help? Or should I make a ladder out of here? I decided to explore, that was the only way I hung onto hope. I walked a couple of feet and saw a glimpse of light, my eyes opened wider, I walked quicker. This was my chance.
I was approximately one metere away from being free, I even saw land, but my calm voice turned into a scream. It felt like daggers piercing through my skin, I could not see what did it, but I felt my blood gushing out of me. I became light headed as it dragged me into its den, and it left me there to die.

The cloud 100 word challenge

The Cloud
I am a cloud  no ordinary cloud,
I will never follow the crowd,
I am a cloud no ordinary cloud,
I am never very loud,
You may not like my sight,
But you will never know where I`ll have my next flight,
I am a cloud  no ordinary cloud,
I will rain when there is a fire,
I will do as I say and be no lair,
I am a cloud  no ordinary cloud,
The wind blows one way I go another,
I will never crowd together,
I am a cloud no ordinary cloud,
I am a cloud made of more.

The spy train 500 word challenge eleanor

The Spy Train

Hi I am Jason and I am 10 years old. I go to Malvern Hills Primary School. I don’t have many friends, probably because people do not seem to notice me. The more the time goes by the more unpopular I get. Luckily I have one very good friend called Erik. He always seems to understand what it is like to have hardly any friends, the reason for this is because, he is shy and quiet, just like me. My Mum tries to get me into more after school clubs, but the only one I am interested in is the spy club. I asked Eric to join me andhe really enjoys it. This term we are spying on importing illegal unknown dog breeds. We don’t know where they are from, or what breed they are, but we do know-that they get imported on trains and sold for lots of money.

Today I have just found out that Erik and I have been selected to go on a mission. I am so excited, I can’t wait to find out what we have to do…
We found out what the mission is: We have to follow up a lead they have had about the puppies arriving by train and see what we can discover and report back to the spy club tomorrow.

School has finally finished and we are setting off for the station. We ran down the path and spotted a one carriage train in the station. This is unusual because most of our trains have at least three carriages. We approached the platform discreetly, and without being noticed jumped onto the train. I felt scared and surprised that we had actually got onto the train and were now faced with rows of empty cages. Suddenly the door slammed shut loudly and we were thrown to the floor as the train departed  the the station suddenly. Erik and I looked at each other in fear, how could we get the train to stop? Why were all these cages empty? What would my mum say when we did not arrive home for tea? All these questions running through my head and not a clue what to do.

Very quickly the high pitched squeaking from the breaks drowned out the engine, and the train came to a sudden juddering halt. After a door slammed  loudly we heard someone shouting outside.
“Alright Bill, all delivered, just off for a quick cuppa before I load the next lot. Noisy blighters ain’t they.”
We heard the mournful barking of  lots of dogs nearby. We opened door and slowly looked around and realised we were only just outside our town in a neglected deserted farmyard. We jumped down and ran, ran as fast as we could straight back to school to give our information to our teacher before any more puppies could be imported on to our streets.

We were so happy to be on our way home safely,  I wonder what our next mission will be.?

100 Word challenge, The final wave goodbye

Lying on the scorching hot beach felt like a fantasy,
with low hanging palm trees above me, and the gentle
lapping waves. The water was clear and I could see
fishes from my sun-bed. There were no thoughts about any danger…

I sat up to hear peoples panicking voices then I saw the tide go out
quickly, it was very unusual. Someone shouted the word “Tsunami” a
word I never thought I would hear in this beautiful place. We all started
running. Petrified, exhausted, breathless, I ran as fast as humanly
possible, for dread that this might be the end!

100 word challange, the paint-brush.

There was a man walking down a road one day,

He stumbled on something that looked like clay,

There was a man walking down a road one day,

There was something in the distance something bright,

There was a man walking down a road one day,

He look and followed to find the light,

He could not understand this strange sight,

There was a man walking down a road one day,

He chased the shining paintbrush was taking him away,

That kept him marching on an on thoughtout the day

Take him into the unknown world where he could play.

100 word challenge the bird hotel

“Hey Kevin, we have arrived” tweeted Suzy sparrow excitedly,

“Huh, Don’t think much of the welcome” said Kevin the crow grumpily.

“It’s a romantic weekend for 2 in the only luxury floating hotel in the world, Cheer up” said Suzy.

Oh dear thought Suzy that is not the best start to 24 hours of child free time. First we flew into rain and wind and now a whole murmuration of starlings are descending on the hotel disturbing the peace! Hopefully Kevin will have ordered some worms and breadcrumbs to be waiting in the room to start the weekend in style.

I told you not to touch it!!

Oh My! I got the most amazing phone for Christmas. It has Instagram and twitter, I can even watch films on it. The only problem seems to be my Dad! He gave me the phone and now he thinks that home- work is more important than checking my twitter feed and Instagram! I told Dad not to touch it, but he did any way….  I was shocked, the more he tried to drop the phone the more the tentacles grew and attached themselves to his shaking hand. I knew that my phone was never going to be the same again!!

100 word challenge eleanor

Who let the crocs out?

If I had not gone on holiday, if I had been more sensible, if the water was not infested with crocodiles, then I would not have found myself in this mess.

I was swinging across the river on a rope swing when I realised that when the holiday brochure said “exciting rope swing adventure.” What it really meant was that swinging across a crocodile infested river was “exciting”! At that moment the jaws of the hungry crocodile snapped only centimetres away from my feet. I finally managed to swing safely back onto  dry land. I was exhausted but surprisingly alive.

Having a bad day

‘You boy stop talking in class or I will hit you with my cane!’  Mr Walrusface was having a very bad day because his long curly moustache was tickling him all night, and he did not sleep well. The children in his class were not helping by talking the whole time, but he could not whack them all because he did not have enough time. ‘If you do not stop talking I will get a whacking machines that can whack 100 and 100s of people at a time!’ In the end Mr Walrusface let them all go out for play.

My last Serve

It was the Wibbledon final against Andy Murry, and if  I get the next point I would win! I have practised for months, training hard every day,  preparing for this match. It is all hanging on this last serve.

As I hit the ball, everyone in the stadium knew where it was destined to land... it’s in, and he misses! The crowd goes wild, they juimp to their feet, cheering and calling my name. At last I am the champion, I feel so proud, the best tennis player in the world . This is the best day of my life.

What was I thinking?

Staying in a Favela in Brazil, sounded like a great idea: when I was working on my computer in my comfortable warm bedroom in rainy England. The reality of it was very different! Imagine a place where there is no electricity and where drug dealers reign.

The most frightening moment was when I was coming back from a walk and there was hundreds of massive  black ants crawling on my bed! They  had pincers as long as my little finger. It was the final straw, I was so scared I packed my things and legged it to the nearest airport.

Thursday  5th May 2014

Dear Diary,

I just got back from my latest hike around the American an forest it was amazing. There was so many interesting  objects and animals that you would never see in England.

There was one thing that I thought was the most impressive. There was an rusty old American school bus that was a large coffin that had been left to rot. It had weeds growing up it like a child hugging on to it’s mother.  I did not dare to go and have a look inside the bus it could have skeletons in it and could be cursed!

100 word challange.

Mr Warnes New Bike

Mr Warne had saved up for his new bike for months. He had seen it in the shop window and finally had enough money to buy it. It had cost him £100. It had a shiny pink basket and a Barbie doll that sat in the basket.

Mr Warne went out side to check on his brand new bike…. Suddenly, Mr Warne turned a deeper shade of red and steam could be seen from his ears. Someone had stolen his bike! He ran inside and told the children, the more the children laughed at him, the more angry he got.

100 word chalange Eleanor.

One scary trip!
We were on are way to an ‘exciting’ excursion travelling by ‘luxury’ transport, to see an ‘amazing’ castle. This turned out to be a 4 hour drive in an uncomfortable minibus.
When we got there it wasn`t as bad as I thought. It certainly wasn`t beautiful but it was very spooky indeed. We wandered around the ruined castle. I heard a noise, a very weird noise, it was like someone was trying to talk to me. I was the only person who could hear it, but then everyone froze, what was I thinking why did I go on this trip!

The miracle night sky

The miracle night sky

If it had never happened, If I had never seen it, if it wasnt there,  then I would never feel like I am feeling now!
It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen in my whole life, I looked up and saw
a rainbow fire, shooting past my eyes, as it whizzed through the sky.
I was about to run inside and tell my mum, but on 2nd thoughts I decided to keep it my little secret. Now every night before I go to bed I run outside to catch it whizzing by.

100 word challange

Lighthouse down

Imagine a place where the sea no longer laps the lighthouse: where there are just forests for hundreds of miles; that happened to one old lighthouse.

It was a well-known light house, but the owner couldn`t afford to pay for it so it was abandoned. One night there was a massive storm and because it was a very old lighthouse it got destroyed! The sea was rough and after many hours of battering the lighthouse the sea calmed and withdrew for miles leaving the lighthouse standing in the middle of wasteland where forests grew for hundreds and hundreds of years.

100 word challenge The paper boy

  The Paper Boy

It was a boring Monday and Jack was doing his annoying home-work, he had to draw a boy, and make the picture come to life.  As he was about to finish, the paper suddenly started to shake. It was like magic, the boy he was drawing came to life. The boy was black and white all over with a tea shirt and shorts on.
The boy sprang up from the paper and ran to the end of the table. Jack tried to chase it but he was very quick. The boy ran to the end of the table and froze...

But all we could see was water

Dear Diary,
It was a very hot humid day. We were on a beach in  Australia searching for the sea monster. No one has ever seen the the sea monster before. Most people think they are not real, but I certainly do believe they are real.
We began the search, on the way we saw a little Joey who had lost his mother. We picked him up and he helped us search for the sea monster. The Joey had thick brown fir and a tiny little tail. There was a russeling of the trees we all hopped in to action…
But all we could see was water.
